Had a great time at the Boutique, spoke with some great people, and heard lots of great comments & praise.

Colored Doodles

It's amazing to me, as someone who doesn't doodle, how I've felt coloring these doodles of Trisha's.
I find myself trying to come up with clever combinations, and looking for 'rules' I could follow for what color goes where, and then the possessiveness of it being 'my art' when I'm not even half way finished.  I feel all this pride in the image being MINE. Sounds ridiculous as I try to explain it, so the best way to describe how cool coloring these would be to say; 'Man this is fun!'

Trisha's Doodles

All of Trisha's doodles are drawn by hand. She use pens, markers, pencils; just the basic stuff. She lets her hand take over, and when she finishes a doodle she passes it on to me; her design assistant; she calls me her Right Hand Nat.
I then scan it and turn it into a printable image that is ready to color.

In this age of computers doing and running everything, I thought you'd like to know the most important step in creating Trisha's Abstract Doodles does not involve machines. -Nor China!  :D

I know a pink blog and a pink image is a bit much... but I'm testing here :)
